I have just finished Uni for Easter break..3 weeks :)
I have taken a few pictures from my wardrobe to showcase the items I have recently been wearing.
Navy Blazer- I bought the camel colour originally, from H&M, but swapped I'm loving navy at the moment and this blazer can be worn casual or smart, with it's on trend nautical theme with small gold anchor buttons
Orange Boat Shoes- These shoes where bought at the NEXT SALE last year, extra comfy and tie in with the nautical theme also
Pastel Skinny's- Both pairs of jeans where purchased from NEW LOOK approximately 2 years ago, I have only worn the mint pair once however with the aquatic pastel season currently out in force; these will definitely be getting worn soon, however I think I need a white pair of boat shoes.. Any suggestions?
Navy Jumper- Jumper was also bought from H&M, I am teaming this with a frill collared shirt and my skinny cream Capri pants also from H&M. I love the riding/Polo Ralph Lauren look; this jumper is a Spring/Autumn/Winter must have!
Coin Raffia Bag & Baroque style Scarf- Bag from PRIMARK around 3years ago very nice size absolutely love it!! And the scarf I think was from H&M again but approximately 5years ago! Fashion flys doesn't it, I have a red scarf similar to this which is my Nans, very French and Chic!
My next mission is a white leather backpack and... A few pieces from H&M new magazine which was recently posted through my door, the use of baroque patterns with cerise and lime equals one word..AMAZE!!!

AN EVENING WITH GRAZIA FOUNDER: FIONA MCINTOSH
In association with The Manchester Fashion Network, which you can take a look at here
I attended an evening at Harvey Nichols, Manchester last night to listen the GRAZIA founder FIONA MCINTOSH.
I attended an evening at Harvey Nichols, Manchester last night to listen the GRAZIA founder FIONA MCINTOSH.
Although the meeting was very short, I learnt a lot about GRAZIA, heightening the different requirements each country it is sold at. An example of this is that the French market insist lots of fashion focused features whereas us Britons and the Germans enjoy a bit of everything, fashion, real life stories and celebrities etc. Fiona announced that GRAZIA will be coming to South Africa very soon, which is a great achievement to showcase diverse ethic fashion.
So.. a lot of thought does go into the separate market requirements on an international basis, and with GRAZIA being a weekly edition to our lives, and in many cases daily with the use of digital media becoming widely available, magazines have lots a competition surrounding them.
Fiona is a great example of how to climb the career ladder, using her journalism routes and experience to collaborate with many famous magazines and websites such as my wardrobe and ELLE UK

ON YOUR TELEVISION SCREEN
I love watching documentaries, as you may already gathered. So I will keep you up to date with any relevant programmes surrounding fashion topics.
Firstly, last nights new series 'China: Triumph and Turmoil' focused on government issues. I found the discussions Niall Ferguson spoke about where very complex, however I do believe this series will take a while to get into, I haven't ruled it out just yet and yes it has already been SKY PLUSSED :)

Another new series starting on Thursday 9pm Channel 4, is very much focused on British Fashion is: 'Mary's Bottom Line'. Well known retail guru Mary Portas is in Greater Manchester to set up a new production line for British-made knickers; helping the unemployment figures from rising.
Mary is an individual that I do admire, with her out spoken attitudes regarding the British High Street and the diminishing trades due to budget super stores and e-retail.
I have recently referenced Mary and David Cameron's joint venture to save the British High Street within my report, created for Uni. I am please to announce that my report will be published in a Journal within the next 12 months, further details of this will be posted when I know more :)

AQUARIUM
Designers: Versace & Holly Fulton
The mix of pastel shades with matching bag combo, enhanced with the use of metallics are great Spring looks for 2012. I am expecting these looks to be catwalked at the forth coming racers across the North West. Combining the girly shades of colour through a suiting element, gives an extra elegance to these garments.
The 'Water World' patterns compliment the outfit, you simply cant get enough of it.. the more the merrier in my opinion from top to bottom!!
NEW BEGINNINGS
So here it is my very first post. As you can see I am very new to this whole blogging thing, so expect some changes regarding colours and layouts etc. Hopefully I will start getting into the swing of things and become quite good at it :), from looking at others, well they are amazing!! My name is Charlotte however 'Charlee' is what one may call as a nickname :D*
The reason for this blog is to publish my likes/dislikes and help to others who are currently in the fashion field like myself. As my 'about me' states, I am studying for a Degree at the moment Class of 2013 :). In the mean time I am searching for work/experience to enhance my skills and further the knowledge I already obtain, making myself a much more employable person.
So with that in mind I thought I would give you a small breakdown of myself including the qualifications I hold and experience:
9 GCSE's graded C and above, 3 A Levels, Foundation Degree in fashion & Clothing Technology Distinction level; And finally the current Degree in BSc (hons) International Clothing Technology & Design
I have had an internship with Cheshire Bespoke a renowned Bespoke tailoring service for menswear around the Saville Row area London.
Retail work at Peacocks, however as you may already know, 250 stores have been closed, mine being one of them, so unfortunately I was recently made redundant.
At the moment I am in talks with AX Paris regarding work experience with their Ecommerce area of the business; this is a huge achievement for myself and I would love the opportunity to become apart of the team.
So yeah.. that's a little bit about myself with an insight to the intentions regarding work.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you visit more often to see whats happening in fast fashion*
